Balayage describes a technique, not a look. It’s a hand-painted technique that traditionally would give a subtle sun-kissed natural highlight. Mainly focusing around the face and softly darkening around the crown of the head. Through the years it has evolved and the want for more impact has taken over the once soft hand-painted technique.
